Ingredients

  • 4 Granny Smith apple
  • 400 g Mixed berries in syrup
  • 5 Tbsp Barker's New Zealand Wildberry Sauce
  • 150 g Plain flour
  • 120 g Quick cook oats
  • 150 g Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 140 g Butter, melted

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC fan bake.
  2. Core apples and dice into 1-2cm cubes (no need to peel). Drain berries well (discard juice). Place in a round (approximately 25cm diameter) oven-safe dish. Add Barker’s New Zealand Wildberry Sauce and toss to combine.
  3. Place flour, oats, sugar and baking powder in a bowl and stir to combine. Add butter and mix until well combined and mixture clumps together a little.
  4. Spoon crumble mix on top of the fruit. Bake for 35 minutes, until apples are tender and crumble is golden brown.
  5. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving with ice cream, custard or cream.
