Gingerbread Caramel French Toast

Easter weekend brunch is sorted with our Gingerbread Caramel French Toast. Sweet, spiced, and absolutely irresistible.

Method

  1. Whisk eggs and Barker’s Gingerbread Caramel Spread together in a shallow dish until well combined. Whisk in milk.
  2. Heat half the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
  3. Dunk a slice of bread in the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side, until golden brown. Repeat with remaining bread, adding more butter to pan as required.
  4. Spread French Toast with Barker’s Gingerbread Caramel Spread and dollop with yoghurt or mascarpone. Top with blueberries and/or banana, and dust with icing sugar. Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Try hot cross buns (halved) or crumpets as an alternative to sliced bread.
