Layered Parakuihi (Breakfast)

Start your day with some extra creativity and customise a Layered Parakuihi Jar. Recipe by Naomi Toilalo, Whānau Kai and photography by Olivia Moore, That Green Olive
Ingredients
- 350 ml jar or wide glass
- 1/2 cup Miraka tepe (yogurt, plain or fruit flavoured)
- 1/2 cup Huapata (cereal, use whatever you love)
- 1/4 cup Your favourite Barker's Squeezy Fruit Preserve
- Kirīmi tāwhiuwhiu (whipped cream, optional)
- Hua (berries, optional)
Method
- Add half of the huapata (cereal).
- Add half of the miraka tepe (yogurt) on to the base of the jar or glass.
- Add half of the tiamu (preserve)
- Add the second half of the huapata (cereal).
- Add the second half of the miraka tepe (yogurt).
- Add the second half of the tiamu (preserve).
- Finish it off the with a flourish of kirīmi tāhwiuwhiu (whipped cream), a few hua (berries).
