Croissants 6 Ways

Whether you like it simple with lashings of butter and a lick of fruit-filled jam or jam-packed with all the trimmings, you can’t go wrong with a flaky croissant and Barker’s.

Ingredients
- 6 Croissant
- Soft butter
- Barker's of Geraldine Spreadable Fruit of choice
- Barker's Dulce de leche Milk Caramel
- Banana
- Smooth peanut butter
- Toasted pecans
- Barker's Morello Cherry Fruit Preserve
- Morello cherries
- Barker's Choc Lovers Chocolate Sauce
- Hollandaise sauce
- Hashbrown
- Bacon
- Fried egg
- Barker's Really Useful Chipotle Sauce
- Barker’s Capsicum & Apricot Chutney
- Cold smoked salmon
- Scrambled egg
- Chives
- Barker's NZ Caramelised Onion Marmalade
- Baby spinach
- Brie
- Ham
Method
Simply Jam
- Slice croissant in half.
- Spread generously with soft butter and your favourite Barker’s of Geraldine jam or spreadable fruit.
- Sandwich together and serve!
Peanut Butter Caramel
- Lightly toast croissant, then slice in half.
- Spread the bottom half with a thick layer of Barker’s of Geraldine Dulce de Leche.
- Top with sliced banana and drizzle with smooth peanut butter. Sprinkle with chopped, toasted pecans.
- Sandwich together and serve immediately.
Black Forest
- Slice croissant in half.
- Spread the bottom half with Barker’s of Geraldine Morello Cherries jam.
- Dollop with thickened cream and top with whole Morello cherries (well drained) or halved fresh cherries.
- Drizzle with Barker’s of Geraldine Choc Lovers Chocolate Sauce.
- Sandwich together and serve immediately.
Loaded Breakfast
- Lightly toast croissant, then slice in half.
- Spread the bottom half with hollandaise sauce.
- Top with piping hot hash browns, grilled bacon and a fried egg.
- Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with Barker’s of Geraldine Chipotle Sauce.
- Sandwich together and serve immediately.
Salmon & Scrambled Egg
- Lightly toast croissant, then slice in half.
- Spread the bottom half with Barker’s of Geraldine Capsicum & Apricot Chutney.
- Top with slices of cold smoked salmon and a generous portion of scrambled egg.
- Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with chopped chives.
- Sandwich together and serve immediately.
Ham & Brie
- Slice croissant in half.
- Spread the bottom half with Barker’s of Geraldine Onion Marmalade.
- Top with baby spinach, sliced brie and thickly sliced ham.
- Finish with a couple more dollops of onion marmalade and sandwich together.
- Oven bake at 180ºC for 10 minutes, or until croissant is lightly toasted and brie has melted.
- Serve immediately.
